80's fashion comeback, should it stay in the 80's?

I honestly never thought I'd say it that 80's fashion is well and truly back! I waved goodbye to my eighties days with happiness and now what's happened an 80's re-run!!!! The time fashion forgot but not the designers hey!
Leggings the massive comeback worn by babies to grandma's. I always remember Madonna rocking this look first, it looked so edgy on her and when i tried them on it just didn't! back then Lycra was thin on the ground and knee's in your leggings were a blight to many....but good old trusty ski-pants sorted that out with the stretch into the shoe...remember?
Shoulder pads i didn't
like first time round and i used to cut mine out of all my clothes as it
was really hard to get clothes without them sewn in back in the day...but this time
around i think they look great and have an extra dimension to them and
give us ladies a nicer broad angled shoulder...in the 80's more like an
American footballer look!
Acid wash jeans now this has
been the biggest surprise to me as i never thought this would be
recreated ever, ever again, but Nicole Richie again carries it off great and with
modern styling it can actually look very cool, but when you think acid
wash you also think pleated bad fitting jeans...am i right...yes!
Lace
ahhh
lace always one of my Madonna favorites she wore it well..the comeback
is good with some designs but oh no some are taking the 80's revival too
far and looks like it should go back there. When worn like this it
takes on a whole new meaning!
All us 80's chicks love it really a
reminder of our youth and carefree Desperately Seeking Susan
days. But i did hear a rumour that pointy bra's were on their way
back...now that is taking it a step too far..please don't say the hair
is coming back too as the ozone layer would very quickly become larger
with the amount of hairspray we used to use...i could literally bust
someones nose with my fringe in those days. You gotta laugh..some things
are best not brought back no matter what the designers say :)

The 80's were great, except the shoulder pads. I can't wait for the low rise jean fashion to go away. I'm so tired of seeing butt crack and t-backs, it just isn't cute anymore. So some bad fitting high waisted jeans (with out the pleats) will be a welcomed eye saver.
I loved the 80s fashion, even shoulder pads, they made you look as though you had a tiny waist. I agree about the low rise jeans, I still hunt out the high fitting ones, definately more comfy.
WHEN oh WHEN will the 80's clothes come back,I'm so sick of highlighting the crack of my ass everytime I move,who's sick idea was this.I'm so tired of today's shirts its layers & layers & any bit of fat is highlighted,I totally disagree with the fact that when a trend is in thats all u can buy anywhere & the sizing,who the heck r they measuring good lord most exlarges r for women weighing 110 god forbid your over that -it's a hefty bag or don't go out!!!! I'm absolutley DISGUSTED with womens clothes,please someone,anyone tell me there is a great change in the verrry near future for us gals!!!!!!!!!!

This was a fun read! I have been noticing the re-emergence of 80's style, much to my horror! Yikes! Love the pic with the acid wash fringe jacket. Fan-tabulous! Let's just hope that jelly shoes don't make a huge come back. I can feel my feet sweating at the mere thought!
